She likes to joke that she’s not from India—she’s from Bollywood, where every problem can be solved with a song and three costume changes. She lives life in technicolor, unapologetically large and loud, and writing is how she makes sense of it all. A proud introvert, she’s happiest tucked into a corner with noise-canceling headphones on, writing. For years, her dog was her only audience—until a friend shoved her onto a Moth stage, and everything changed.
In less than two years, Saloni won multiple Moth StorySLAMs, was featured on global podcasts like The Moth Radio Hour and The Story Collider, performed a one-hour solo show, was featured at prestigious festivals like the National Storytelling Festival and Northwest Folklife Festival and very recently cross continents and made her Australian debut!
Saloni’s storytelling style is an intense mix of deep emotion and quirky humor. She’s also known for her physical comedy. In her own words - “My faces changes a 1000 expressions per second. If you can get one good photograph, consider yourself gifted!”. If you ever see Saloni perform, the one word you will walk away with is - ENERGYYYYYYYY!
